About Susan Neal

Susan Neal Williams earned her Bachelor of Arts from Samford University in 2008 and her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2011. She completed the traditional course of study and entered the bar environment soon after law school. Her academic record placed her in the company of classmates who moved quickly into practice and courtrooms across the region.

Her early professional years included a stint at Bulso & Nolan PLC in 2014. There she worked on matters handled by a mid-sized Nashville firm. In 2015 she joined Morgan & Morgan as a lawyer. Those roles gave her experience in firm settings of different size and focus. She has appeared in court and handled filings in both state and federal forums.

Williams is admitted to practice in Tennessee and in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. That combination has allowed her to take cases beyond the state level. She has maintained memberships in several professional organizations that reflect an interest in trial work and bar service.

Her association activity is steady. She serves as First Year Director for the Lawyers Association for Women. She remains involved with the Nashville Bar Foundation Leadership Forum as part of the Class of 2016 steering committee. She also holds memberships in the Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women, the Nashville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. Those affiliations provide regular contact with peers and opportunities to follow developments in litigation practice.

Colleagues describe Williams as methodical in courtroom preparation and factual in written advocacy. She combines courtroom experience from her firm positions with continuing professional involvement. She has handled filings in the Middle District of Tennessee and in state court, and she is familiar with the procedural demands of both arenas.

Today she practices at Morgan & Morgan in Tennessee. Her current work involves representation in matters filed in state courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
