About Subhan
Subhan Tariq graduated from the University of Massachusetts School of Law and built a legal practice centered in New York. He is admitted to the New York bar and has established a firm presence in the state. His training at UMass Law provided a foundation in both courtroom procedure and transactional work, elements he has returned to in practice.
Tariq's early years after law school were spent learning the practical side of client work. He moved from classroom theory to case files and client meetings. Over time he began handling matters that required both negotiation and litigation skills. He has worked with individuals and small businesses, helping them sort through disputes, agreements and regulatory questions.
He practices at THE TARIQ LAW FIRM, PLLC. The office serves clients across New York on a range of civil matters. Tariq undertakes case preparation, document drafting and courtroom representation when necessary. He places an emphasis on clear explanation of options so clients can make informed choices, rather than on legalese that obscures the issues.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in communication. He tends to break complex legal problems into concrete steps. That approach shapes how he manages files, how he talks to clients, and how he presents material to judges and opposing counsel. He favors practical remedies that resolve conflicts without unnecessary delay, though he is prepared to litigate when a client’s interests require it.
Outside of casework, Tariq has maintained ties to legal education and local professional networks. He attends continuing education programs to stay current on changes to New York practice and procedure. He is also available for speaking engagements and client seminars that explain courtroom processes and business law essentials in straightforward terms.
He currently practices at THE TARIQ LAW FIRM, PLLC, representing individuals and businesses in New York.
