About Suad
Suad Bektic earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Richmond in 2010, then returned to school to complete both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration in 2015. She completed her J.D. at Charlotte School of Law and received her MBA from Fayetteville State University the same year. The back-to-back degrees shaped a practice informed by legal training and business perspective.
After law school, Bektic moved quickly into practice. In 2016 she joined New Day Legal as an associate lawyer. Early in her career she took on the everyday demands of client work: drafting pleadings, preparing motions, researching statutory and case law, and counseling clients on procedural matters. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical and practical. She has worked on cases from initial intake through resolution.
Her academic record blends undergraduate science studies and graduate business and legal education. That combination has given her a grounded approach to problem solving. In client meetings she asks detailed questions and seeks clear options. She favors practical steps that help move a file forward. The business training also informs how she evaluates risk and cost, particularly when clients weigh settlement against litigation.
Bektic has built her practice at New Day Legal, PLLC. She joined the firm in 2016 and continues there. At the firm she handles a mix of matters that require courtroom preparation as well as negotiated resolutions. Friends and former classmates note that she balances courtroom readiness with an eye toward client priorities.
Outside of files and filings she has maintained ties to the communities where she studied and worked. Her time in Richmond and at Fayetteville State exposed her to a range of perspectives that she says helped shape her client service style. She continues to draw on both legal training and business insight when advising clients.
She currently practices at New Day Legal, PLLC, advising and representing clients on a range of legal matters.
