About Stuart K.

Stuart K. Tubis earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006 and went on to receive his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2011. His academic path combined social science and law. It gave him a grounding in analytical thinking and an interest in how law affects organizations and individuals.

After law school he entered practice in California. He is admitted to the State Bar of California and works as an associate lawyer at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP. At the firm he joins other attorneys on complex matters that require both legal analysis and practical problem solving.

His involvement in professional circles extends beyond the firm. He serves as Co-Chair of Special Projects for the San Francisco IP Law Association. In that role he helps organize projects and events that connect attorneys, in-house counsel, and others who work on intellectual property issues. The position places him at the intersection of profession-wide discussion and local programming.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and concise in his work. He applies his training to tasks that include counseling clients, drafting legal documents, and supporting litigation teams as cases progress. He has experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams inside the firm. That work often requires integrating technical detail and legal strategy.

Outside of formal roles, Tubis has been involved in programming through the San Francisco IP Law Association that aims to keep practitioners informed about changes in IP law and practice. Those activities reflect an ongoing interest in the practical and procedural questions that arise in intellectual property practice.

He practices at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP and currently concentrates on intellectual property matters in the State of California.
