About Stuart Frank
Stuart Frank Cubbon is the managing partner and president of Cubbon & Associates, a law firm based in Toledo, Ohio. He has been practicing law since 1981, specializing in personal injury and civil trial law. His areas of focus include vehicular collisions, wrongful death. Nursing home abuse and neglect cases. Mr. Cubbon earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1981, where he was a member of the University of Toledo Law Review from 1979 to 1981. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Bucknell University, obtained in 1978, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toledo, completed in 1998.
He is admitted to practice in Ohio (1981), Michigan (1982), and Florida (1983), as well as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio (1982). Mr. Cubbon is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate, a designation awarded by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 2007. Throughout his career, Mr. Cubbon has been recognized for his legal expertise and contributions to the community. He has been named a Super Lawyer by Ohio Super Lawyers magazine from 2008 through 2022 and has consistently received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible peer-reviewed rating.
Additionally, he has been a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has received the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Lawyers award from 2011 to the present. Mr. Cubbon has served as the past president of both the Toledo Bar Association and the Toledo Bar Association Foundation. He has been actively involved in various professional organizations, including the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Michigan Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, and the Morrison R. Waite Chapter of the American Inns of Court. From 2010 to 2019, he served on the Board of Trustees of the Law and Leadership Institute, LLC, a statewide initiative designed to provide high school students from underserved communities with the tools necessary to excel in high school and pursue careers in the legal profession. Cubbon has been involved in civic organizations. He served as the president of the University of Toledo Alumni Association and is a member of Gesu Church. He is married to Lucas County Juvenile Court Judge Denise Navarre Cubbon, and they have four children and eight grandchildren.
