About Steven H.
Steven H. Kantrovitz earned his law degree from New England Law | Boston in 1989 after completing a bachelor’s degree in corporate finance at the University of Massachusetts in 1986. The combination of a finance background and legal training framed his early approach to practice. He entered the legal profession at the end of the 1980s and has remained active in the Massachusetts legal community since.
Soon after law school he joined the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association in 1989. A year later he became a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers, a group that brings together attorneys who handle litigation in state courts. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, giving him access to both state and federal forums.
Kantrovitz established his practice through Kantrovitz & Associates, P.C. He has maintained that firm as his office base and built his career in private practice there. Over the years his firm has filed cases and appeared in hearings across Massachusetts courts and in federal court when matters required it. Colleagues describe him as steady and methodical in court preparation and courtroom presentation.
Membership in professional associations has been a constant in his career. He has listed continuous membership in the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association since 1989, and in the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers since 1990. Those memberships have kept him connected to courtroom developments, state rules of procedure, and networking among trial practitioners. He has participated in association events and continuing legal education offerings as part of staying current on practice changes.
Clients and peers see him as a lawyer who blends an understanding of corporate finance principles from his undergraduate studies with courtroom experience. He routinely handles filings, motions, and hearings in Massachusetts courts and steps into federal court when cases require a federal forum. He favors careful case management and steady advocacy over theatrical tactics.
Outside the courtroom his practice is marked by long-term ties to local legal institutions. He continues to operate from Kantrovitz & Associates, P.C., and remains an active member of the state and local bar groups that have been part of his professional life since the start of his career. He currently practices law in Massachusetts and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, handling matters in those forums.
