About Steven
Steven Corriveau grew up studying politics and law, an arc that led from a political science degree at Lenoir-Rhyne College in 2006 to a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2013. He completed law school in the early 2010s and moved into practice in North Carolina soon after. His academic background gave him grounding in the mechanics of government and the practice of law.
Corriveau entered the profession as a lawyer at Martin & Jones, PLLC in 2015. He joined the firm after law school and the initial years of bar admission, taking on a range of matters that gave him courtroom and client-side experience. Colleagues describe him as steady under pressure; clients found a straightforward counselor in him. He worked out of multiple regional offices, which shaped the practical side of his practice and his understanding of local court systems.
He maintains an active membership with the Wake County Bar Association. That affiliation keeps him connected to local practitioners and to continuing legal education opportunities. He also holds additional professional memberships.
Corriveau’s practice has a distinctly local footprint. He has maintained ties to the Raleigh legal community while also working from offices in Durham and Wilmington. That geographic spread has put him in front of judges and administrative officers across the state. It has also required the kind of logistical flexibility that comes with serving clients in different counties and court circuits.
Those years in practice—from law school graduation through work at Martin & Jones and ongoing bar involvement—have shaped his approach to client matters. He tends to emphasize clear communication and practical problem solving. He prepares cases and counsels clients with an eye toward predictable outcomes and manageable risk. He is known among peers for being methodical and for attending to procedural details.
Today he practices law in North Carolina, drawing on the training he received at Wake Forest and the on-the-job experience he accumulated at Martin & Jones. His clients come to him through the firm’s Raleigh, Durham and Wilmington offices. His current practice centers on representing clients in matters that arise under North Carolina law.
