About Steven C
Steven C Kyriazes built his legal foundation at Elmhurst College, where he completed a B.A. in Speech and Political Science in 1974. He continued his studies at The John Marshall Law School, earning a J.D. in 1978 and later an LL.M. in Taxation in 1989. Those credentials set the stage for a career that moved between corporate in-house roles and private practice.
Early in his career Kyriazes held a series of corporate counsel posts that exposed him to transactional work and internal legal operations. In 1986 he served as Vice President and General Counsel for The SEC Companies. A decade later he took on the role of General Counsel and Vice President of Operations at Pollak and Skan/PS datapro in 1996, where legal responsibilities intersected with company operations. He then became Vice President and General Counsel for RJ2 & Associates, Inc. in 2000, and in 2003 worked as Corporate Counsel for The Bartech Group, Inc. Those positions reflect repeated movement between legal oversight and business decision-making.
Kyriazes has also been active in the local legal community. He is a member of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, a role he has held since 2009. Since 2016 he has served on the board of the Northwest Suburban Bar Foundation. These affiliations tie him to the suburban legal scene and to organizations that support lawyers and local programs.
The LL.M. in Taxation stands out on his résumé and signals an interest in tax law alongside broader corporate work. Over the years his practice has covered company governance, contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and operational issues that arise when legal and business functions overlap. His in-house experience gave him exposure to vendor relationships, employment-related questions, and the kinds of contract drafting that support commercial activity.
After decades in corporate roles Kyriazes moved into private practice under his own name. He operates Steven C. Kyriazes, P.C., maintaining an Illinois law practice. The firm handles matters that draw on his background in corporate counsel work and tax knowledge. He continues to practice in Illinois, handling business, corporate and tax matters for clients.
