About Steve

Steve Schofield earned his law degree from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2010. He began his legal career inside the courthouse, serving as a judicial law clerk for the State of Nevada’s First Judicial District immediately after graduation. That early exposure to courtroom procedure and case management shaped his approach to litigation.

After his clerkship, Schofield moved into private practice. He worked at the Law Office of Christian Schank in 2012 and then spent a year at Berg Injury Lawyers in 2013. In 2014 he joined the Law Office of Christopher Parkhurst, broadening his experience in plaintiff-side matters. His time across these firms gave him repeated opportunities to handle pretrial work, discovery and client counseling.

In 2018 Schofield became a partner at Wells Call. As a partner, he took on a mix of case responsibility and firm-level work, including strategy and client intake. The partnership followed several years of practice in smaller office settings and a clerkship, a path that left him familiar with both courtroom routines and the practical demands of a law office.

Schofield holds a certification as a Domestic Violence Counselor from the Family Violence Law Center. That credential complements his client work in matters that involve family and interpersonal conflict. He is a member of the American Bar Association, a membership he has held since 2014, and of the Consumer Attorneys of California since 2018. Those affiliations keep him connected to developments in civil litigation and consumer protection law.

Colleagues describe him as direct in court and thorough in preparation. He has moved between roles that emphasized litigation, client advocacy and counseling. The variety of positions on his résumé — from a judicial clerkship to work at firms concentrating on injury and plaintiff representation, to partnership at Wells Call — reflect steady progression rather than abrupt change.

Schofield practices in California and draws on experience from both Nevada and California proceedings. He handles civil litigation matters, including personal injury cases and issues that involve domestic violence or family-related concerns. He currently practices at Wells Call, where he focuses his work on civil litigation, personal injury and domestic violence-related matters in California.
