About Stephen Noel
Stephen Noel Ilg built a steady path from campus to courtroom. He completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2005 and earned a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law in 2010. That same year he added an advanced professional certificate from the Pollack Center for Law and Business, pairing legal training with practical business coursework.
He entered practice in California soon after law school. His early years included stints as an associate at Scott Cole & Associates, APC in 2010 and again in 2014. Between those engagements he worked at The Tobener Law Center in 2012 and at Employment Lawyers in 2013 and 2015. In 2015 he launched ILG Legal Office, PC and took on the roles of CEO and managing lawyer.
Those roles gave him experience on both sides of a boutique practice. In larger firms he handled matters typical of employment-oriented litigation and counseling. Running his own office required balancing case work with the administrative demands of a small firm. The combination of hands-on litigation and firm management shaped how he approaches client work.
Ilg’s educational background includes both substantive law training and business-oriented study. The Pollack Center certificate signaled an interest in the intersection of law and commerce. His undergraduate study in psychology informs how he evaluates testimony and client interactions. He also belongs to several professional and intellectual organizations: Provisors, Mensa International and the Triple Nine Society.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and exacting in his preparation. He favors thorough factual development before moving to motion practice. That approach has guided his work across employment disputes, workplace investigations and contract matters that have a personnel dimension. He has continued to take cases that require both courtroom advocacy and negotiated resolution.
Ilg maintains a practice based in California where he serves businesses and individuals on employment and related business issues. He operates ILG Legal Office, PC and manages both the firm and its client matters. He currently practices employment and business-related law out of ILG Legal Office, PC.
