About Stephen John Del
Stephen John Del Sole earned his law degree at Duquesne University School of Law. He completed his J.D. in Pennsylvania and entered legal practice in the state after graduation. Duquesne’s law program gave him a foundation in litigation, procedure and client counseling that has shaped his approach to everyday practice.
He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and maintains an office through Del Sole Cavanaugh Stroyd, LLC. Early in his career he worked on matters that required courtroom work and transactional preparation. Over time he built a practice that balances preparation for trial with attention to the practical details clients need when facing legal issues.
Colleagues describe his courtroom manner as direct. He prepares witnesses, develops case strategy and handles filings and motions. He also spends substantial time advising clients on the procedural steps they must take to protect their positions. The work demands a steady cadence: careful research, draft pleadings, negotiate where possible, and prepare for the possibility of trial.
His practice involves representation before Pennsylvania courts and administrative forums. That includes both contested matters and negotiated resolutions. He meets with clients to develop case plans and outlines litigation timelines. He also works with other counsel when cases require coordinated efforts across practice areas or jurisdictions within the state.
Outside casework he remains connected to the law school community and the legal culture of Pennsylvania. He attends local bar functions and contributes to firm efforts to train junior lawyers. Those activities keep him current on changes in procedural rules and court practice.
Clients and peers see him as a problem solver who leans on clear communication. He favors straightforward explanations over legalese. That makes it easier for clients to make informed decisions about settlement, trial or other dispute-resolution paths.
He practices through Del Sole Cavanaugh Stroyd, LLC, where he represents clients in Pennsylvania matters and manages both courtroom and advisory work for individuals and businesses.
