About Stephen
Stephen Hughes earned his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1994 after completing a bachelor’s degree at Salem State College in 1990. He came of age academically in New England and followed a conventional route into the practice of law. The sequence of degrees and the early years that followed set the stage for a steady legal career.
After finishing law school, Hughes moved into private practice. Over time he accumulated experience representing clients and handling the everyday tasks that keep a law office running. In 2008 he took a significant step by founding the Law Offices of Stephen M. Hughes, P.C. Creating his own firm allowed him to shape the practice and the services it provides.
Running a small firm has required attention to both legal work and management. Hughes has balanced client files, court calendars, and the administrative demands of an independent office. Those responsibilities have helped him develop an approach to practice that values direct client contact and practical problem solving. He has also maintained professional ties through bar association membership.
Hughes holds current membership in the Massachusetts Bar Association. He has kept that professional connection throughout his career. The association provides networking and continuing legal education opportunities, and he has participated in those resources while practicing.
Over more than two decades since graduating law school, Hughes has built a local practice anchored by his firm. The Law Offices of Stephen M. Hughes, P.C., which he founded in 2008, continues to serve clients. He has navigated the typical shifts of small-firm practice, adapting to changing court procedures and client expectations.
Today Hughes remains active in his practice. He manages his office and works directly with clients. His current practice focuses on representing individuals and businesses through matters that arise in daily legal life.
