About Stephen
Stephen Clark built an uncommon path to the law. He began his professional life in a classroom, teaching fourth grade in Mesquite Independent School District in 2004. The move from education to law was gradual, and it included a stint as an intern with Bexar County in 2010 and study at the London School of Economics the same year.
Clark earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in 2002. He later completed legal studies at St. Mary’s University School of Law, finishing in 2011. The time in London and the county internship broadened his view of legal systems and public service during his law-school years.
After law school, Clark entered private practice. His early associate roles included work at The Wright Firm, LLP in 2012 and at McClure Law Group in 2013. Those positions offered courtroom exposure and the day-to-day demands of client representation. In 2014 he opened the Law Offices of Stephen Clark, stepping into ownership and taking direct responsibility for case selection and firm operations.
Four years later he reorganized his practice as Clark Law Group. He remains the owner. Over time Clark has registered appearances in federal court, including the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Those admissions extend his options for cases that require litigation in federal forums.
Clark’s professional memberships underscore the range of his local involvement. He holds memberships in the Plano Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, the Tarrant County Bar Association and the Texas Family Law Foundation. These affiliations connect him to peers across several North Texas communities and to an organization focused on family law practice.
Colleagues describe Clark as steady and practical in handling matters. He has balanced solo practice responsibilities—managing cases, court filings and client communications—while maintaining active ties to regional bar groups. His history as a classroom teacher and a county intern is often cited as shaping his approach to client education and preparation for hearings.
Today Clark practices through Clark Law Group. He handles family-law matters and represents clients in cases that proceed in state and federal court, focusing his work on litigation and client counseling in those areas.
