About Stephanie

Stephanie Nickse built a foundation in the sciences and languages before turning to the law. She graduated from Bucknell University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, sociology and Spanish. Four years later she earned her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2007. Those classroom years shaped how she approaches facts, evidence and the people behind the files.

Her legal career has been centered in the Northeast. She holds membership in the State Bar of New York since 2008 and is admitted to practice in both Connecticut and New York. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and she maintains her practice through S.B. Nickse Law Offices, LLC. Colleagues describe her work as thorough and steady; she has kept a local practice rather than seeking a national platform.

At the office, Nickse handles a range of matters for clients who need counsel in two states. She has represented individuals and entities in proceedings that require knowledge of both Connecticut and New York procedures. Her background in multiple disciplines informs how she prepares cases and communicates complex ideas to juries, judges and opposing counsel.

Outside the courtroom, she is involved in local civic and professional groups. She serves on the board of the Westport Young Women’s League, where she participates in governance and community activities. Her continuing memberships in state bar organizations keep her tied to broader professional developments and to peers in trial practice.

Her education and dual-jurisdiction practice give her perspective on issues that cross state lines. She combines a technical undergraduate background and a traditional legal education to plan case strategy and manage client expectations. People who work with her note a methodical approach to investigation and an emphasis on clear explanation rather than legal jargon.

Today she practices at S.B. Nickse Law Offices, LLC, working on matters that arise in Connecticut and New York. She continues to be active in state bar circles and local civic organizations while maintaining a private practice that serves clients across the two states.
