About Stephanie
Stephanie Kral is an attorney who built a practice around military justice. She is the founder of Kral Military Defense and a former judge advocate in the United States Air Force. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and is licensed in Nevada and California.
Kral's undergraduate years were at Iowa State University, where she completed a B.A. in French Studies and Political Science in 2007, with an emphasis in political theory. She earned her J.D. from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law in 2010 and entered military service soon after.
She joined the Air Force JAG Corps and took on roles that spanned both advisory and courtroom functions. In 2011 she served as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate. Two years later she moved into defense work as an Area Defense Counsel. In 2015 she served as a senior prosecutor. Those positions exposed her to a range of military legal processes, from administrative actions to contested trials.
In 2019 Kral left uniformed service and opened Kral Military Defense. The firm represents service members in military justice matters and related administrative proceedings. She draws on her time in both defense and prosecutorial roles when preparing cases and advising clients about potential outcomes and procedural options.
Her professional affiliations include a fellowship with the National Institute of Military Justice, a role she began in 2023 and continues to hold. Kral maintains active licenses in Nevada and California and the credential to appear before the nation's highest court, which supports her ability to handle matters that touch on federal and appellate issues.
Colleagues and clients describe her work as practical and grounded in courtroom experience rather than in theoretical arguments. She remains based at Kral Military Defense, where she handles trials, appeals, and administrative matters for service members and veterans. Her current practice focuses on military criminal defense and related administrative advocacy.
