About Stephanie C
Stephanie C Aguirre trained at two different campuses before beginning her legal career. She earned her Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law after completing a Bachelor of Science at Florida International University in 2008. Those years of study grounded her in both substantive law and practical skills taught in clinical settings.
After law school she entered practice in California. In 2014 she worked as an associate lawyer at the Law Office of Mary Bird. In that role she handled routine casework, prepared court filings and counseled clients under supervision. The year also included work outside the office that broadened her experience and exposed her to a range of client needs.
Also in 2014 she provided pro bono services through Bay Area Legal Aid. There she assisted low-income clients and participated in intake and client outreach efforts. The pro bono work added a public-interest dimension to her early legal work and offered hands-on experience in client advocacy and legal problem-solving.
