About Stephanie

Stephanie Bamberger earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1996. She trained at a law school known for its ties to California courts and regulators, and she went on to practice in the state.

She is admitted to the California bar and has spent her career working in both nonprofit and private settings. Early roles placed her inside an organization that provides legal help and support to people affected by domestic violence. Those positions exposed her to high-volume client service and the procedural demands of family and protection order work.

In 2001 she joined Women Escaping A Violent Environment (WEAVE) as a staff lawyer. Four years later she took on the role of managing lawyer at the same organization. In those years she oversaw legal services, coordinated with social service teams, and helped shape the program’s response to client needs. The experience gave her sustained exposure to courtroom filings, client advocacy, and the collaboration that many community-based legal programs require.

By 2009 Bamberger had moved into private practice, serving as an associate at Bartholomew & Wasznicky LLP. That period broadened her experience beyond nonprofit legal work and added matters that are typical of small‑firm practice. She handled client matters, appeared in court, and worked alongside partners on litigation tasks. Her path shows movement between institutional practice and community-oriented legal services.

Outside of casework she has been active in civic and law enforcement outreach. Since 2006 she has served on the board of the Sacramento FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association. That long-term involvement has kept her connected to local public-safety initiatives and to a network of professionals who engage with law enforcement and community programs.

The arc of Bamberger’s career runs from legal training in the mid-1990s through roles that combine direct client service and organizational leadership. She has navigated nonprofit management, staff supervision, and private‑sector associate duties. Today she practices law in California and continues to participate in board and community activities while serving clients statewide.
