About Stefani

Stefani Preston built her legal foundation at Baylor Law School, where she earned her J.D. in 2018. Before law school she studied at the University of Texas at Austin, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in English and philosophy. The combination of humanities and law shaped her approach to writing and analysis early in her career.

After graduating from Baylor, Preston was admitted to the Texas bar in 2018. She entered private practice and has worked in roles that require frequent court appearances, client counseling, and detailed legal drafting. Colleagues describe her as methodical in courtroom preparation and exacting in how she prepares filings and motions.

Preston’s day-to-day work centers on the practical tasks that move cases forward. She spends time researching and writing, preparing witnesses, and arguing matters before trial courts. She also meets with clients to map out options and to explain the procedural steps ahead. Her training at Baylor and her undergraduate study in literature and philosophy inform the way she frames legal problems and crafts persuasive arguments.

Within the office, Preston takes on cases that demand clear advocacy and careful procedural work. She is comfortable handling discovery disputes, motion practice, and the routine courtroom calendar. That steadiness has made her a dependable presence for clients who need consistent attention and for teams that require reliable drafting and courtroom support.

Outside the courtroom, Preston participates in professional bar activities and keeps current on Texas rules and practice developments. She maintains active membership in the state bar and attends continuing legal education programs to stay informed about procedural updates and evolving case law.

Today, Preston practices at Walters Gilbreath, PLLC. She maintains an active Texas license and continues to represent clients in state court matters while handling counseling, filings, and courtroom advocacy at her firm.
