About Stacey

Stacey Keenan is an attorney practicing in Minnesota. She studied sociology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and earned her bachelor’s degree in 2002. She then attended Howard University School of Law and received her J.D. in 2006.

Keenan began her legal career in the nonprofit sector. In 2009 she joined North West Legal Assistance as a lawyer. There she worked on matters that brought early courtroom and client-facing experience. That period helped shape her approach to case management and legal problem solving.

Two years later she took on a leadership role at her own practice. In 2011 she became the managing lawyer at Keenan Law Office, LLC. That position added administrative responsibility to her workload. She balanced casework with the daily demands of running a small firm.

Her training combines a social sciences undergraduate degree and a professional legal education. The sociology background gave her an eye for social context. The law degree provided the technical training required for courtroom work and counseling clients.

Keenan’s career path shows steady progression from staff attorney to firm manager. She has experience in both an organized legal aid setting and in private practice. Those different environments exposed her to a range of professional challenges, from case preparation to supervising operations.

Outside of case files, Keenan’s work reflects an interest in accessing the law for individuals who come through her doors. She practices in Minnesota and is admitted there. Colleagues describe her as practical in approach and clear in communication.

Today she leads Keenan Law Office, LLC and continues to serve clients in Minnesota. Her current practice centers on handling legal matters for individuals and small organizations in the state of Minnesota.
