About Spencer R.
Spencer R. Munns built his legal foundation at Brigham Young University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies before returning to BYU for his Juris Doctor. His academic background combined study of American institutions and law. That blend of humanities and legal training shaped his early approach to practice and client counseling.
After law school Munns gained practical experience through positions that bridged law and finance. He served as a clerk at The Fremont Group and at the firm Filice, Brown, Eassa & McLeod. Those clerkships exposed him to transactional work and the mechanics of legal practice. He also worked as a financial consultant for Merrill Lynch, a role that gave him direct exposure to investment matters, client portfolio issues and the language of financial advisors.
Munns later moved into firm leadership. He is co-president of Bogin, Munns & Munns, a position that involves case oversight, firm administration and client management. In that role he combines the procedural know-how gained in clerkships with the financial literacy developed at Merrill Lynch. Colleagues describe him as steady in managing complex files and pragmatic in setting client expectations.
He is admitted to practice in Florida. Over the course of his career he has handled matters that require both legal analysis and an understanding of financial context. That background allows him to advise clients on issues where legal rights and monetary concerns intersect. He approaches each matter by unpacking the factual and financial pieces before recommending a course of action.
Munns's work is shaped by experiences across different professional settings. The early clerkships gave him exposure to litigation and transactional drafting. His time as a financial consultant sharpened his ability to read financial documents and discuss investment issues with nonlawyers. Those strands come together in his current practice at Bogin, Munns & Munns, where he supervises cases and trains younger attorneys on the firm’s processes.
Colleagues and clients look to him for clear explanations and steady management of matters that include legal and financial components. He maintains an active practice in Florida and serves in the firm’s leadership. He currently practices law at Bogin, Munns & Munns, concentrating on legal matters that intersect with financial and transactional issues.
