About Spencer

Spencer Aldrich graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 2005 with a double major in history and political science. He earned his J.D. at Chapman University Fowler School of Law in 2009. Those academic roots set the stage for a career that has moved between in-house roles, insurance work, and private practice.

After law school Aldrich took on in-house positions. In 2010 he served as in-house counsel for TreesNW and as assistant general counsel for Advantage Point Learning. He then spent time at Liberty Mutual Insurance, first as a paralegal coordinator in 2011 and later as field counsel in 2014. Those roles gave him experience on the insurance side of claims and litigation.

Aldrich entered private practice as an associate at Schoenfeld & Schoenfeld, P.C. in 2017. That period marked a shift toward courtroom work and client counseling outside the corporate environment. He maintained ties to professional organizations during this time and began taking on leadership responsibilities in bar groups focused on trial work and workers’ compensation.

In 2021 he launched Aldrich Law, LLC. The firm reflected his move into running a practice and shaping case strategy from start to finish. Three years later, in 2024, Aldrich became co-owner of Aldrich & Brunot, LLC. The change broadened his practice platform and added management responsibilities.

Aldrich is licensed to practice in Oregon. He has served on committees and in bar organizations that relate to trial practice and workers’ compensation. He has been part of the Oregon State Bar Workers’ Compensation Section executive committee since 2020. He holds membership in the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association as a guardian since 2021 and has been a member of the Multnomah County Bar Association since 2017. Those affiliations reflect his ongoing engagement with professional peers and continuing legal education.

Colleagues describe Aldrich as a lawyer who moves comfortably between advising clients and taking cases to hearing. His background on both the insurance side and the plaintiff side gives him a perspective on how claims are evaluated and defended. He has balanced courtroom work, regulatory matters, and the operational tasks that come with running a small firm.

He continues to practice in Oregon and divides his time between casework and firm management. His current practice focuses on workers’ compensation and related civil litigation matters.
