About Sondra
Sondra Smith holds both an MBA in finance and a B.A. in business from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Those degrees framed an early career that moved between the private sector and academic settings. Her background pairs corporate management training with classroom experience at law schools.
Smith stepped into teaching early, serving as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law in 2005. She returned to academia in 2018 as an adjunct at the University of Colorado Law School. Those roles ran alongside a series of leadership positions in corporate social responsibility and community giving.
In 2013 she became executive director of the CenturyLink Community Giving Foundation. The next year she took on a senior global role at Level 3 Communications, which later operated under the CenturyLink and Lumen banners. Over time Smith moved into director-level positions in corporate social responsibility at Lumen Technologies and, by 2021, was listed as senior director of corporate sustainability and ESG at Zayo Group.
