About Siqi
Siqi Cheng earned her J.D. from Drexel University School of Law in 2023 after completing a B.S. in psychology at the University of Cincinnati in 2018. Her time in law school coincided with growing ties to the Philadelphia legal community. She joined bar and local associations early and completed her studies at Drexel prepared to begin practice in Pennsylvania.
Her entrance into the legal profession has been recent but steady. After law school she became an associate at Kang Haggerty LLC in 2023. Prior to bar membership, she was active in regional bar groups, joining the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Bar Association in 2021. Those memberships continued as she transitioned from student to practicing attorney.
Cheng is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and holds current membership in the State Bar of Pennsylvania beginning in 2023. The move from law student to practicing lawyer involved courtroom exposure and firm-based work that the years after graduation often require. At Kang Haggerty LLC she has taken on the responsibilities expected of junior associates, handling research, drafting, and client communications under senior supervision.
Her academic background in psychology informs how she approaches legal problems. She often draws on that training when preparing cases and communicating with clients. Colleagues describe her as methodical; she approaches factual investigation with attention to detail. Outside the office, she remains involved in professional associations that offer continuing education and networking within the Philadelphia region and statewide circles.
Cheng’s practice operates within Pennsylvania’s legal framework. Her memberships in APABA-PA and the Philadelphia Bar Association date back to 2021 and reflect ongoing engagement in local legal networks. The State Bar of Pennsylvania lists her as a member beginning in 2023, the year she completed law school and started at Kang Haggerty LLC. She currently focuses her practice on legal matters arising under Pennsylvania law.
