About Simon
Simon Goldenberg earned his undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Binghamton and later completed his law degree at Hofstra University. He began his legal training in a period when consumer finance and bankruptcy law were evolving rapidly. Those academic years shaped his approach to practical lawyering: steady, detail-oriented, and attentive to how paperwork affects people's lives.
After law school he sought admission to practice in both New York and New Jersey, and he has maintained registrations in those jurisdictions. Early career roles gave him exposure to courtroom procedure and client counseling. He combined that experience with membership in professional groups that address debt resolution and bankruptcy practice.
In 2011 he established the Law Office of Simon Goldenberg PLLC and has served as its principal lawyer since then. Running a small firm required juggling casework, client intake and the administrative tasks that keep a practice running. Over time he refined a practice model centered on individual representation in consumer matters and related proceedings.
His memberships reflect the surface of his professional interests. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers and of the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators. He also belongs to the New York County Lawyers Association. Those affiliations place him in regular contact with peers who handle consumer bankruptcy, debt settlement and creditor-debtor disputes.
In his work he represents individuals facing collection actions, seeking relief through bankruptcy chapters, or negotiating with creditors outside court. He prepares filings, attends hearings and advises clients on the practical consequences of different legal paths. He appears before bankruptcy courts and local state forums, and he assists clients in assembling the documentation that governs their cases.
Clients and colleagues describe his practice as hands-on. He handles the day-to-day tasks that a small firm lawyer encounters: preparing pleadings, conducting negotiations, and guiding people through procedural deadlines. His firm maintains offices under the Law Office of Simon Goldenberg PLLC name. He continues to work on consumer bankruptcy, debt relief and related consumer-credit matters.
