About Simon

Simon Craven trained at Vassar College and Boston College before launching a career that has moved steadily into immigration law. He earned a B.A. from Vassar in 2002 and completed his J.D. at Boston College in 2012. Those years framed an early interest in immigration and human rights that shows in the choices he made after law school.

Craven began in support roles. He worked as a paralegal at Kaplan, O'Sullivan & Friedman in 2005 and later returned to paralegal work at Landis Arn & Jaynes in 2009. Those positions gave him an inside view of case preparation. He then transitioned to internships at organizations focused on deportation and immigrant rights, including the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild in 2010, the Post-Deportation Human Rights Project in 2011, and Human Rights First in 2012.

After finishing law school, he entered private practice. In 2012 he worked as a lawyer at Landis Arn & Jaynes, P.A., then took an associate role at Savatteri Law Office, P.C. in 2013. His path led him to Fragomen, Del Rey & Bernsen, P.C. in 2018, where he served as a lawyer, and to Levitt & Needleman, P.C. as an associate in 2019. In 2022 he was an associate at Berry Appleman & Leiden, LLP. In 2023 he joined Manifest Law as an immigration lawyer.

Throughout his career Craven has divided his time between agency work and court practice. He handles filings and interviews before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and represents clients in immigration courts. His practice covers the procedural steps that often determine whether an immigration matter proceeds or resolves. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and retains professional memberships that align with his work. He has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2015 and holds another ongoing membership that began in 2012.

Colleagues describe him as deliberate and thorough in client files, preferring careful preparation to last-minute fixes. That approach can be traced back to early years on teams that handled complex deportation and post-deportation claims. He has worked in both large firm environments and smaller offices. That range has exposed him to corporate immigration matters as well as individual relief applications.

As of 2026 he practices at Manifest Law and appears regularly before immigration courts and USCIS on behalf of clients in Massachusetts. He is engaged in immigration law practice before federal immigration authorities and state licensure in Massachusetts.
