About Sherry

Sherry Lankford took an unconventional route into the law. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design at Auburn University in 2003 and returned to school nearly a decade later to earn her J.D. from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in 2012. That combination of design training and legal education gives her an eye for detail and a methodical approach to problems.

Her first legal role was as a clerk for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Alabama in 2012. The clerkship placed her inside courtroom routines and case management at an early stage in her career. A year later she moved into private practice as an associate with William R. Chandler, Lawyer at Law, where she handled day-to-day client matters and began building litigation experience.

In 2014 Lankford joined Daniels & Taylor, P.C. as an associate. She spent that period refining client communication and expanding her practice skills. By 2017 she had taken the next step and became a founding partner at Tyler Moore Law. That move put her in a leadership role and gave her responsibility for shaping the firm’s caseload and client service model.

Lankford holds licenses in both Alabama and Georgia. She has combined courtroom experience from her clerkship with years in private practice to manage cases across state lines. The path from clerk to associate to founding partner is straightforward on paper, but it also reflects steady accumulation of practical skills. Colleagues describe her as precise in preparation and direct in court. She tends to favor clear paperwork and firm timelines over last-minute changes.

Her background in interior design shows up in unexpected ways. Clients and co-workers sometimes note her organization and the visual clarity of her case files. Those traits inform how she prepares exhibits and presents complex information. She is comfortable switching between the procedural demands of litigation and the practical needs of clients who need straightforward explanations.

At Tyler Moore Law Lankford manages a portfolio of matters that span both Alabama and Georgia. She oversees case strategy, supervises staff, and remains the primary point of contact for many clients. Her career progression emphasizes practice management as much as courtroom work.

She practices at Tyler Moore Law, representing clients in both Alabama and Georgia.
