About Sherri
Sherri Stinson earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Emory University in 1999 and completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Florida in 2003. Those formative years shaped an approach to law that values close reading and clear argument. She moved from the study of literature to the practice of law with a steady trajectory.
She began her professional legal career in a partnership setting. In 2004 she worked at Pearse & Stinson, P.A., where she handled a range of matters for clients in Florida. After more than a decade in private practice, she established Sherri M. Stinson, P.A. in 2017. That shift put her at the head of her own firm and changed the daily responsibilities she carried, from casework to managing firm operations.
Across those years she has combined courtroom work and client counseling. Her record reflects litigation preparation, negotiation, and the everyday tasks of running contested matters. She represents clients in Florida courts and appears before administrative bodies when matters require it. Colleagues describe her approach as attentive and precise; she emphasizes careful preparation and direct communication with clients.
Stinson keeps active ties to the legal community through current professional memberships. She participates in continuing legal education and engages in peer networks that provide updates on procedural changes and emerging issues in state practice. Those connections help inform how she advises clients and how she handles evolving legal questions.
Her practice has evolved to reflect changes in client needs and in the broader legal environment. Over time she moved from a partnership model to operating a small firm, shifting more responsibility for strategy and client intake onto her role. That transition also allowed her to shape the office’s approach to client service and case management.
Today she leads Sherri M. Stinson, P.A., practicing law in Florida. She runs a small firm that handles litigation and client advising, manages filings and court appearances, and provides direct counsel to individuals and businesses. Her current practice centers on serving clients in Florida through the firm she founded.
