About Sherie

Sherie Kristiansen earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Arizona State University in 2000, where she also completed a minor in psychology. She continued her legal education at American University Washington College of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 2005. Those academic years set the groundwork for a career that moves between litigation support and transactional work.

She joined Farrell & Croft, PC in 2006 as an associate lawyer. Early in her time at the firm she took on case preparation, client interviews and courtroom filings. The role gave her practical exposure to the daily demands of private practice and to the procedural work that underpins family and estate matters.

In 2010 she served as a law clerk in the firm’s family law practice. In that role she worked on drafting pleadings, conducting legal research and supporting attorneys through hearings and settlement negotiations. A decade later she returned to clerk work within Farrell & Croft’s wills, trusts and estate division in 2020, handling document preparation, probate matters and estate administration tasks.

Her career path at a single firm reflects steady involvement in multiple practice areas rather than frequent moves between offices. That continuity has allowed her to build institutional knowledge about clients’ patterns and local practice. She is licensed to practice in Virginia and has combined courtroom and office work across family law and estate matters.

Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She tends to take cases through careful stages: fact gathering, legal research, drafting and disposition. That process-oriented style is evident whether she is preparing parenting agreements or probate inventories. It also shapes how she supports more senior lawyers and how she communicates with clients.

She remains with Farrell & Croft, PC and continues to handle family law and wills, trusts and estate matters in Virginia. Her current practice focuses on those areas at the firm.
