Shelley Glen Bryant is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2002. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Bryant is a partner at Bryant Whitten, LLP, a law firm located in Fresno, California. She has been practicing law for over 23 years, serving clients throughout the Central Valley and beyond.
Ms. Bryant earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where she graduated in 2002. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at Chapman University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies in 1998. During her time at UC Davis, she gained practical experience by externing at the California Supreme Court.
Ms. Bryant specializes in employment law, focusing on cases involving sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She also represents clients in class action lawsuits seeking damages and penalties for unpaid overtime and missed meal and rest periods. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Bryant has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Fresno, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at Jory, Peterson, Watkins & Smith, representing employers in the Central Valley.
Ms. Bryant is an active member of the California Employment Lawyers Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer every year since 2013 and was selected as a Rising Star in 2012. She is also a member of the Fresno Bar Association, the Hugh Goodwin Bar Association, the American Bar Association's Employment Law Section, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. Ms. Bryant is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of the Central Valley effectively.
