About Shawn
Shawn Kerendian practices estate planning, trusts and probate law in California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2004 and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2007. Those classroom years laid a conventional path into practice, combining courses in property and probate with early practical experience.
He began his legal career as an associate at Weinstock Manion in 2007. The following year he moved to Keystone Law Group, P.C., where he assumed the role of principal and lawyer. Over time his responsibilities expanded from client counseling and document drafting to handling estate administrations and related courtroom matters when disputes arose.
Kerendian is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law, a designation granted by the State Bar of California. He has been active in local and county bar groups since early in his career. His memberships include the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Trusts & Estates Section and the State Bar of California’s trust and litigation sections beginning in 2007. He joined the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Century City Bar Association in 2015 and continues those affiliations.
His day-to-day practice involves preparing wills and trusts, advising trustees and executors, and managing probate and trust administrations. He also handles contested matters when beneficiaries or fiduciaries dispute accounting, capacity, or distribution issues. Clients who come to him tend to need clear plans for succession and practical guidance through the post-death administration process; his work often bridges transactional drafting and courtroom advocacy.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as pragmatic in negotiations and thorough in court filings. He combines document work—trust instruments, powers of attorney, advance health directives—with hands-on management of estate and trust estates when an estate moves into probate. He also advises on fiduciary duties and helps trustees and executors meet reporting and accounting obligations.
Kerendian practices from Keystone Law Group, P.C. in California. He maintains active bar group memberships and holds the certified specialist credential in estate planning, trust, and probate law. He currently focuses his practice on estate planning, trust administration and probate matters.
