About Sharon

Sharon Khunkhun built her academic foundation in science and history before turning to law. She earned a B.S. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1996, studying biology and U.S. history. She continued her education at St. John’s University School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2001 and taking coursework in federal practice.

After law school, Khunkhun launched her legal career in New York. Early years included work that drew on her federal practice training. She has spent her career handling matters that arise under both state and federal law. Her professional path has kept her rooted in New York’s courts and regulatory landscape.

Khunkhun’s background in the sciences and history informs her approach to legal problems. That academic mix gives her familiarity with technical material and the ability to place legal questions in a wider context. Colleagues describe her as methodical and clear in courtroom and client settings. She has navigated procedural rules and evidentiary questions that commonly surface in federally oriented matters.

Her practice has combined counseling and dispute work. She prepares filings, manages discovery, and argues procedural and substantive motions. She also advises clients on compliance and risk issues that intersect with state and federal requirements. Those responsibilities reflect her training and the practical demands of representing clients in New York.

Khunkhun established Khunkhun Law to serve individuals and organizations that need counsel on matters governed by both state and federal rules. Her office handles day-to-day client concerns as well as contested proceedings. She balances case preparation with ongoing client communication and seeks practical resolutions where possible.

Outside of court filings and legal briefs, she spends time keeping current on developments in federal procedure and state law. That ongoing attention helps her adapt to changing rules and shifting case law. She prefers clear explanations over legal jargon when speaking with clients, aiming for practical clarity.

Today she continues to practice in New York through Khunkhun Law, representing clients in matters that arise under state and federal law and providing counsel on related procedural and compliance issues.
