About Sharlene Mae
Sharlene Mae Bagon earned a B.A. in Political Science and Asian American Studies from California State University, Northridge in 2002. She went on to complete her J.D. at Western State College of Law at Argosy University in 2006. The sequence of degrees set a clear path into legal practice and community engagement.
Bagon was admitted to the California bar in 2009. That same year she joined The Chugh Firm as a lawyer, taking on day-to-day responsibilities for clients and casework at a busy practice. Her early post-bar years were spent gaining practical courtroom and client experience in a firm setting.
In 2010 she opened Bagon Law Office. She established the firm to provide direct representation from a smaller office environment. Over time the practice has handled a range of legal matters for individuals and families in California. She maintains her license in the state and continues to work from that office.
Professional associations have been a steady part of her career. She has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2009. She also holds membership in the California State Bar dating to 2009. Earlier affiliations included the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, each held during portions of the 2009–2014 period. She was a member of the Philippine American Bar Association from 2009 to 2011. These memberships reflect a pattern of professional networking and continuing legal education.
Colleagues describe her as a lawyer who moves between client meetings, filings and hearings with a pragmatic approach. She focuses on clarifying options for clients and helping them understand procedural steps. She spent the first part of her career in a larger firm environment before shifting to private practice, which changed how she manages cases and client relationships.
Her work is concentrated in California, where she is licensed and where her office is located. She remains active in professional groups that align with immigration practice and broader bar involvement. She currently practices at Bagon Law Office, serving clients across California.
