About Shannon L
Shannon L Kroeger has spent more than two decades in Virginia courts and law offices. She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Mary Washington (1995) and earned her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2000. Those academic chapters set the stage for a steady climb through private practice.
After law school she joined Schargorodski & Associates, PLC as an associate in 2000. That first role put her into day-to-day legal work early in her career. She handled client files, drafted pleadings and learned courtroom procedures under seasoned attorneys. The experience helped shape how she approaches case preparation and client communications.
In 2007 Kroeger moved to Rich Greenberg Rosenthal & Costle as an associate. Within a year she stepped into a partner/owner role at Rich Rosenthal Brincefield Manitta Dzubin & Kroeger, PLLC. The change marked a shift from supporting roles to firm leadership. Her responsibilities expanded to include overseeing case strategies, mentoring junior lawyers and helping manage firm operations.
In 2020 she took on a new chapter as partner and owner at Family First Law Group, PLLC. The move coincided with a change in firm identity and practice structure. Throughout her career Kroeger has practiced in Virginia and maintained ties to the local bar and court systems.
Her approach is practical and procedural. She balances litigation tasks with out-of-court negotiations and client counseling. Colleagues describe her as steady in handling contested matters and attentive to the logistical needs of a case. Today she practices at Family First Law Group, PLLC, where she handles family law matters.
