About Shannon
Shannon Bio earned her law degree from Santa Barbara College of Law in 2010 after completing undergraduate studies in political science at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002. Her academic path combined classroom study with early practical experience, and she entered the legal workspace soon after finishing college. Those early years set the tone for a steady climb through a range of legal roles.
Her first legal position came in 2002 as a clerk at Stockwell Harris Widom & Woolverton. She moved into paralegal work in 2004 at the Law Offices of Jacqueline Vitti Frederick and also took on work as an assistant private investigator for Sims & Associates Investigations that same year. Those roles exposed her to case preparation, factual investigation and the nuts-and-bolts tasks that support litigation and transactional work.
After law school she joined Frederick Law Office as an associate lawyer in 2011. Two years later she accepted an associate post at Toews & Murphy, Inc., and in 2017 she became a partner at Toews Law Group, Inc. The timeline shows a quick progression from staff roles into positions of greater responsibility. At each step she took on more client-facing work and more oversight of case strategy and file management.
Her professional affiliations reflect an interest in estate-related work. She has been a member of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association since 2011 and joined the association’s Trust and Estate Section committee in 2020. She also served on the board of the Women Lawyers Association of San Luis Obispo from 2013 to 2014. Those memberships have kept her connected to the county’s legal community and to colleagues handling probate, estate planning and related matters.
Practically, Bio’s background combines investigative skills and hands-on support work with courtroom and office practice. That blend is evident in matters that require careful factual development as well as legal drafting and court filings. Colleagues and clients see a practitioner who knows where case details come from because she has done that groundwork herself.
She is currently a partner at Toews Law Group, Inc., where she manages client matters and contributes to the firm’s practice. Her current practice centers on trust and estate matters and the probate work that accompanies them.
