About Shabnam

Shabnam Lotfi earned her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2011. She completed her legal studies at a time of shifting legal landscapes and entered the profession equipped for complex client work and courtroom practice.

After law school Lotfi moved into legal practice. Over the years she has handled a mix of transactional work, client counseling and dispute resolution. Her path has taken her through roles that required both detailed document work and direct advocacy. She learned to balance deadlines and client expectations in fast-paced settings.

Her day-to-day legal work includes advising clients, drafting agreements and pleadings, negotiating settlements and representing clients in hearings. She spends time preparing written submissions and building factual records for cases. Lotfi also works on preventive law: identifying points of risk and helping clients reduce exposure before a dispute develops.

Professionally she maintains active ties to the bar and to continuing legal education. She stays current on changes in statutes and procedure. That ongoing study informs her courtroom practice and the advice she gives clients. Colleagues and clients note her thorough preparation and straightforward communication.

Outside of specific casework, Lotfi places value on clear client communication. She aims to explain options in plain language and outline likely outcomes. She also emphasizes practical steps clients can take while a matter is pending. That pragmatic approach guides how she structures calendaring, discovery and settlement discussions.

Her work at times requires collaborating with other professionals, such as experts and consultants. She manages those relationships to keep cases on schedule and to align outside input with legal strategy. Her files reflect attention to detail and a steady pace through litigation and transactional processes.

She currently practices at Lotfi Legal LLC, where she handles a range of legal matters for individuals and organizations.
