About Sergio Alejandro
Sergio Alejandro Copete built his legal path deliberately. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from San Francisco State University in 2009 and completed his Juris Doctor at California Western School of Law in 2012. Those years set the groundwork for an early stretch of hands-on legal work and a quick move into private practice.
His first roles were staff positions that exposed him to the day-to-day of legal work. In 2011 he worked as a legal research clerk at the Law Offices of Alexandru Cristea. The next year he served as a legal clerk for Access, Inc. Those positions offered direct experience with case preparation, legal research and client intake in different settings.
In 2013 he opened Copete Law Office and listed his role as lawyer and owner. He has run the firm since then. Building a small practice meant managing both the legal work and the business side of a law office. That combination shaped how he approaches matters and interacts with clients.
Copete has been involved in local bar activities since the early years of his practice. He joined the Orange County Bar Association in 2013 and maintains that membership. He has also participated in other local legal groups over the same period, engaging with peers on issues that affect lawyers and clients in the region.
Across his career he has worked in California courts and administrative settings. His background in legal research and early clerkship experience contributed to practical skills useful in litigation support and transactional matters. Running a solo firm required him to handle case intake, client counseling, drafting and courtroom work when necessary.
Colleagues and clients encounter a practitioner who combines courtroom experience from his clerkship days with the responsibilities of running a small law office. His work is rooted in the procedural and substantive tasks that keep cases moving, from research and drafting to negotiation and appearances.
He continues to practice in California through the Copete Law Office, representing clients and handling legal matters from that office.
