About September Joy
September Joy Katje is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2003. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Katje is the lead litigation attorney at Katje Law Group, APC, a law firm located in Anaheim, California. She has been practicing law for over 22 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Ms. Katje earned her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California, graduating Cum Laude and as a Dean's Honor List recipient. She was also a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Contracts I and Contracts II. During her time at California Western, she was a member of the Law Review and the International Law Journal, serving as an Associate Editor. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at California State University, San Marcos, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting in 2000. She also obtained a Master of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship from San Diego State University in 2002.
Ms. Katje concentrates her practice in the areas of business law, consumer law, estate planning, and foreclosure defense. She represents individuals and businesses in matters involving business contracts, business dissolution, business finance, business formation, business litigation, franchising, mergers and acquisitions, partnership and shareholder disputes, class actions, lemon law, guardianship and conservatorship, estate administration, health care directives, trusts, wills, and foreclosure defense. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Katje has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding Katje Law Group, she worked as an attorney at Morrison & Foerster, Cooley Godward Kronish, and White & Bright, LLP. She has also served as a lead attorney at Pacific Wealth Legal Advisors and as an associate attorney at the Law Offices of George Ball.
Ms. Katje is an active member of the American Bar Association and the San Diego County Bar Association. She is also a licensed real estate broker with the California Department of Real Estate. Ms. Katje is fluent in English, Arabic, and Spanish, allowing her to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
