About Sean David

Under his leadership, RMO LLP has significantly expanded its presence across California and Texas. The firm now boasts offices in key locations, including Los Angeles, Pasadena, Orange County, San Diego, the Bay Area, Fresno, Dallas, and Houston. This growth reflects Muntz's strategic vision and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse client base. Muntz earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2002. Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1998. His academic background laid a strong foundation for his legal career. Muntz's experience includes serving as in-house counsel for a Fortune 100 aerospace manufacturer.

In this role, he represented the company in various internal and external investigations, as well as compliance matters. Notably, he played a crucial role in the criminal case of U.S. v. Chung, where he represented the company as a victim of espionage. This case resulted in the first conviction under the Economic Espionage Act of 1996, showcasing Muntz's effectiveness in high-stakes legal situations. For his efforts, he received commendations from the Los Angeles Field Office of the FBI and the FBI Director. In 2022, Muntz was promoted to Managing Partner of RMO LLP, succeeding founding partner Scott Rahn, who transitioned to serve as the firm's CEO.

This promotion was a recognition of Muntz's significant contributions to the firm's growth and his unwavering commitment to providing efficient, cost-effective legal services. His practice primarily focuses on representing beneficiaries and professional and corporate fiduciaries—including administrators, executors, trustees, conservators, and guardians—in contested trust, estate, and probate litigation. This specialization has positioned him as a key figure in the field, where he advocates for clients navigating complex legal challenges. Muntz has received numerous accolades for his legal expertise and leadership. He has been named a "Southern California Super Lawyer" for several consecutive years, reflecting his standing in the legal community. In 2024, he was also listed among the "Best Lawyers in America" for Trusts and Estates. Additionally, the Los Angeles Times featured him as a "Legal Visionary" in 2022, highlighting his exceptional client results and professional standing.

These recognitions underscore his dedication to excellence in legal practice. Beyond his professional achievements, Muntz actively engages in community service. He volunteers with the Orangewood Foundation and the Samueli Academy, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to the community. His dedication to both his clients and the community solidifies his reputation as a respected leader in the field of probate and trust estate litigation. Through his work, Muntz continues to make a meaningful impact, both in the legal realm and in the lives of those he serves.
