He pursued higher education at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, graduating with his Juris Doctor in 1990.
After completing his law degree, Scott began his career at the Texas Railroad Commission in Austin. He enforced oil, gas, and transportation regulations—a role that provided him with valuable insights into regulatory compliance and legal frameworks. In 1993, Scott shifted his focus to representing individuals in personal injury cases, particularly those involving medical malpractice. This transition marked a significant turning point in his career. This lets the attorney advocate for clients in need of legal assistance during difficult periods. By 2000, he had returned to Lafayette to establish his own practice, Webre & Associates. Here, he handles a diverse range of cases, including trucking accidents, auto accidents, industrial and boating accidents, as well as issues related to legal and other professional malpractice, breach of contract, consumer fraud.
