About Scott W.
Scott W. Paris built his legal foundation in Ohio classrooms and local courtrooms. He earned a B.A. in political science from Ohio State University and completed his law degree at the University of Akron, receiving his J.D. in 2003. Early internships and clerkships gave him an early look at practice that would shape his career.
He began in private practice as a law clerk in 2001 at Wincek & DeRosa Co., L.P.A. That entry-level role led to a string of associate positions. In 2003 he joined Rauser & Associates. He moved to Sebraien M. Haygood & Associates in 2004 and then to Keith D. Weiner & Associates Co., L.P.A. in 2005. Those years covered a range of courtroom work and client counseling in Ohio courts.
In 2017 Paris redirected his practice toward firm ownership and partnership. He opened Paris Law, LLC that year and also became a partner at Cwalinski & Paris Co., L.P.A. The dual roles reflect a mix of managing a small firm and collaborating in a partnership setting. Running a firm brought administrative responsibilities beyond the daily practice of law.
Paris is admitted to practice in Ohio and holds admission to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Those admissions have enabled him to handle matters at both the trial and appellate levels. Over time he has handled filings and court appearances across state and federal dockets.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in the courtroom and thorough in preparation. He has maintained steady ties to the Ohio legal community through his years of practice. His path shows a lawyer who moved from associate roles into firm leadership and courtroom practice.
Today he operates Paris Law, LLC and serves as partner at Cwalinski & Paris Co., L.P.A. He continues to represent clients in state and federal matters and appears in appellate courts where he is admitted to practice.
