About Scott T.
Scott T. Melin built his path through law and public affairs with a steady, methodical approach. He studied philosophy as an undergraduate, earned a law degree, and later returned to graduate school to study human rights. The sequence shaped both his perspective and the way he approaches client work.
He received his B.A. in Philosophy from Colorado State University in 2006. He went on to the University of Colorado Law School, where he earned his J.D. in 2011. While at Colorado Law he took practical steps to develop courtroom experience, serving as a student lawyer in the Family Law Clinic in 2009. After finishing law school, he completed a master’s degree in Human Rights at Columbia University in 2014.
Melin’s early post-law-school work included a position as an associate lawyer at Crossroads Safehouse in 2011. That role placed him in a community-oriented setting early in his career and gave him hands-on exposure to client intake and case handling. He moved into private practice and, in 2014, joined The Bagley Law Office, LLC as a senior associate. The move marked a shift toward sustained litigation and client representation in a firm environment.
He has maintained ties to the legal community through professional membership. Since 2018 he has been a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. That involvement keeps him connected to peers in the state and to continuing legal education opportunities that the association provides.
The bulk of Melin’s career has taken place in Colorado. He practices in the state and has developed courtroom and trial-related skills through clinic work, nonprofit employment, and firm-based litigation. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and deliberate in courtroom presentation. He balances casework with periodic professional development and stays engaged with statewide legal networks.
Today Melin works out of The Bagley Law Office, LLC in Colorado. He continues to handle matters for clients in the state while maintaining a professional presence in statewide legal circles. His current practice focuses on serving clients in Colorado through his role at The Bagley Law Office, LLC.
