He has been practicing law for over 27 years, serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mr. Pesetsky earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Santa Clara University School of Law, where he graduated in 1998. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at New College of Florida, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time at Santa Clara Law, he was involved in various legal clinics and externships, gaining practical experience in estate planning and probate law.
Mr. Pesetsky concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and probate law. He assists clients with drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, as well as navigating the probate process. His practice encompasses all stages of estate administration, including initial consultations, document preparation, court filings, and post-death administration. He also represents clients in contested probate matters, providing litigation support when necessary.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pesetsky has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Alameda and the Superior Court of California for the County of Contra Costa. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding SmartProbate, he worked as an associate attorney at a boutique estate planning firm in Berkeley for five years.
Mr. Pesetsky is an active member of the Alameda County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law. He is also a certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California. Mr. Pesetsky is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the Bay Area effectively.
