Scott P. Batey built his legal foundation at two major Michigan universities. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan in 1992. He stayed in the state for law school and received his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 1995. Those years set the timetable for a practice that would move quickly from classroom to courtroom to firm ownership.
Within a year of completing law school he struck out on his own. In 1996 he founded Batey Law Office, PLLC and has remained the owner since.
