About Scott M.

Scott M. Kinshella earned a B.A. in English from the University of Nevada–Las Vegas in 2000. He went on to law school at the University of Michigan, where he completed his J.D. in 2009. Those years combined an undergraduate grounding in close reading and composition with three years of formal legal training.

The English degree shaped an early habit of careful reading and clear writing. At Michigan Law he refined legal research, briefing and analysis. Course work and clinic experience emphasized statutory interpretation and civil procedure. The result is a lawyer who approaches court filings and legal memoranda with particular attention to structure and clarity.

Kinshella is licensed to practice in Washington. He is on the roster at Davidson Law Center, Inc. There he manages client matters, prepares filings, and appears in court when cases require it. His work includes advising clients on procedural strategy and drafting the documents that move cases forward.

Colleagues describe his courtroom work as exacting rather than flashy. He tends to prioritize preparation. That shows in how he assembles factual records, organizes exhibits and plans witness examination. He also handles settlement discussions and the kind of negotiation that resolves disputes short of trial. That mix of written advocacy and hands-on case management is a through line in his practice.

Outside of litigation tasks, Kinshella’s background in English continues to inform his practice. Contracts, motions and client letters reflect an emphasis on plain language and logical flow. This approach aims to make complex legal points more accessible to judges and clients alike.

Clients, judges and opposing counsel can expect steady attention to procedural detail and thorough written work. Over time those habits have become the practical framework for how he runs matters at the firm. He currently practices at Davidson Law Center, Inc., representing clients in Washington state courts and providing legal counsel.
