Scott M. Kinshella earned a B.A. in English from the University of Nevada–Las Vegas in 2000. He went on to law school at the University of Michigan, where he completed his J.D. in 2009. Those years combined an undergraduate grounding in close reading and composition with three years of formal legal training.
The English degree shaped an early habit of careful reading and clear writing. At Michigan Law he refined legal research, briefing and analysis.
