Scott Lamont Levitt is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2003. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Levitt is of counsel at Levitt Law APC, a law firm located in Seal Beach, California. He has been practicing law for over 22 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Mr. Levitt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from California State University, Long Beach, where he was recognized on the Honor's List. He then pursued his legal education at Chapman University Fowler School of Law, obtaining a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree and graduating in the top 10% of his class. During his time at Chapman, he was actively involved in various legal organizations and activities.
Mr. Levitt concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, real estate law, and insurance claims. He represents clients in matters involving business contracts, business dissolution, business finance, business formation, business litigation, franchising, mergers and acquisitions, partnership and shareholder disputes, commercial real estate, condominiums, easements, eminent domain, homeowners association issues, land use and zoning, mortgages, neighbor disputes, residential real estate, and water law. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Levitt has handled numerous cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Seal Beach for several years.
Mr. Levitt is an active member of the California State Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He is also a certified mediator through the California Dispute Resolution Council. Mr. Levitt is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Southern California effectively.
