About Scott

Scott Jordan built a career at the intersection of health administration and law. He began in the health sector after completing a master’s degree in health services administration. Years later he entered law school and returned to legal practice in private practice.

Jordan earned a B.A. in history and political science from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1984. He went on to complete an M.S. in health services administration in 1995. He later attended the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2003.

Shortly after his master’s degree, Jordan took a role at Hill Physicians Medical Group in 1996 as a manager and lawyer. That position placed him inside the operational side of a medical group and offered experience in administration and compliance. The combination of administrative and legal responsibilities there informed his later work.

After law school he moved into private practice. In 2006 he established Jordan Law Office. He has maintained his practice since then under the name Jordan Law Offices. He is admitted to practice in California and is also admitted to the 9th Circuit.

Jordan holds a board certification as a Diplomate from the American College of Healthcare Executives. That credential reflects his background in health services administration and his continuing engagement with health industry governance and management. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Contra Costa County Bar Association and the California Bar Association, each listed as current since 2006. He also joined the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys in 2010 and remains a member.

His career shows a mix of health-sector experience and consumer-oriented legal practice. In private practice he has handled matters that draw on both strands. He has worked on consumer bankruptcy matters and on issues that arise where healthcare administration and law overlap.

Colleagues and clients describe Jordan as pragmatic and steady in the office. He tends to approach cases with an eye toward practical outcomes rather than theoretical debate. He maintains his practice at Jordan Law Offices and continues to take cases that involve consumer bankruptcy and health-related legal issues.

He currently concentrates on consumer bankruptcy and healthcare-related legal issues.
