About Scott

Scott Haggmark built his legal foundation in two distinct regions of the country. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Sonoma State University in 2005 and later returned to the East Coast to complete a Juris Doctor at New York Law School in 2014. Those academic stops shaped his approach to law: practical, grounded and attentive to process.

He began his career after law school navigating the day-to-day work of immigration and administrative matters. Over the years he has worked in the three states where he holds licenses—California, New Jersey and New York—gaining experience in client representation before government agencies and in federal filings. His practice path has combined courtroom preparation with casework that requires steady documentation and client communication.

Haggmark has maintained active professional ties while practicing. He is a member of the California State Bar and joined the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2024. Those memberships have kept him connected to changes in immigration policy and procedure and to a network of practitioners who handle cross-jurisdictional issues. He has kept his practice responsive to regulatory updates and shifts in enforcement priorities.

Colleagues describe Haggmark as methodical in his casework. He favors clear calendars, predictable client updates and careful pleading. His work often involves family-based petitions, removal defense, naturalization matters and administrative appeals. He regularly prepares written submissions for immigration judges and for agency review, and he assists clients in assembling the documentary records those filings require.

Clients who consult him commonly seek help with status adjustments, asylum applications, waivers and other remedial filings. Much of the work involves coordinating evidence from multiple sources and advising on timelines and procedural options. He places emphasis on explaining practical trade-offs so clients understand likely steps and possible outcomes.

Haggmark leads Haggmark Law, Inc., where he handles a range of immigration-related matters across his admitted jurisdictions. The office manages individual case intake, prepares filings and represents clients at hearings where appropriate. He balances direct client work with the administrative needs of running a small law practice.

He continues to follow developments in immigration law, administrative procedure and federal court decisions that affect practitioners and their clients. He currently practices at Haggmark Law, Inc., concentrating on immigration law and related administrative matters.
