About Scott D.
Scott D. Grossman built a conventional academic foundation before entering law. He earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1989. He then completed an M.A. in Political Science at Rutgers University in 1994 and received his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 1997.
After law school, Grossman moved quickly into private practice. In 1997 he founded The Grossman Law Office, LLC and has served as its lead lawyer since. He is admitted to practice in the New Jersey Superior Court, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the Third Circuit, the United States Court of Military Appeals, and before authorities in New Jersey. Those admissions have allowed him to handle matters that start at the trial level and, when necessary, proceed to federal and appellate courts.
His professional memberships reflect the kinds of cases he has handled. Grossman has been a member of the New Jersey Bar Association since 1997 and has belonged to both the American Association for Justice and the New Jersey Association for Justice since the same year. He is also a member of the Brain Injury Association of New Jersey. Between 2014 and 2016 he held membership in the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America. These affiliations suggest sustained involvement in civil litigation, including matters involving serious bodily harm and incidents on the road.
Colleagues describe Grossman as a lawyer who prefers courtroom work and traditional litigation over transactional practice. His firm has pursued claims in state and federal venues, and he has represented plaintiffs in cases where catastrophic injury and complicated liability issues are central. He has experience preparing cases for trial, managing discovery in complex matters, and presenting arguments in court.
Outside of court filings and hearings, Grossman’s work involves coordinating medical and technical experts, particularly in cases where brain injury or severe physical trauma is alleged. That work often requires translating medical reports into legal strategies and explaining technical concepts to judges and juries. The combination of courtroom experience and subject-matter contacts has shaped the practice he maintains today.
He continues to lead The Grossman Law Office, LLC, handling civil litigation in New Jersey courts and federal forums, with particular attention to injury and liability matters.
