About Scott C.

Scott C. Justice earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in 2007 and completed his law degree at the University of Louisville in 2010. He moved from the classroom into legal practice at a steady pace. The sequence of his education maps neatly onto the start of his career.

He began work as an associate at Jennings Law Office in 2010. There, he handled day-to-day legal tasks for clients and took on responsibilities typical for a young lawyer building courtroom and case management experience. The position provided him with early exposure to litigation and client advocacy in the Kentucky legal environment.

In 2013 he opened Justice Law Office. As owner, he built a small practice serving clients across Kentucky. He is active in the local bar and in state and national organizations that relate to trial work and workers’ rights. His memberships include the Louisville Bar Association, the KBA Workers’ Compensation Section, the Kentucky Justice Association and the Kentucky Workers’ Association. He also belongs to the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.

Those professional ties indicate the sorts of matters he handles. His practice includes workers’ compensation claims, administrative hearings, and civil litigation arising from workplace injuries. He represents clients at hearings before administrative bodies and in court when appeals or additional litigation are necessary. Peer organizations he belongs to provide a forum for staying current on changes in workers’ compensation law and trial practice.

Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in his approach to casework. He tends to emphasize clear communication with clients and an organized preparation of claims and defenses. He manages cases from intake through resolution, pursuing negotiated settlements when appropriate and taking cases to hearing when the facts or law require it.

He practices law in Kentucky and maintains active memberships in multiple legal associations that relate to his work. His office handles the full cycle of injury and compensation matters for workers, including initial claims, contested proceedings and appeals. He currently represents clients in workers’ compensation and related civil litigation matters in Kentucky.
