About Scott Adam
Scott Adam Schlager built his path to law on two strong academic tracks. He earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012, studying political science and urban studies. He stayed in the Northeast for law school and completed his J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 2015. Those years shaped how he reads statutes and case law and how he frames questions for clients.
After law school he began practicing in Massachusetts. He moved into firm work rather than a public-sector perch. Over time he developed a professional network that includes membership in the State Bar of Massachusetts, the American Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and REBA. Those memberships reflect steady engagement with the profession and the local legal community.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and straightforward in day-to-day matters. His undergraduate focus on political science and urban studies informs the way he assesses regulatory and policy issues. He tends to approach client problems by mapping the relevant legal rules against the practical realities that businesses and individuals face in Massachusetts. He pays attention to precedent and to how courts have treated similar facts.
Schlager joined Pierce Atwood LLP and works from that office on matters that arise in the state. At the firm he contributes to client work and participates in the collaborative environment common to mid-size and large law firms. He has kept his professional ties active through bar association involvement and through contact with peers in Boston and across the state.
Outside of client files he has maintained ties to legal organizations that provide continuing education and networking opportunities. Those engagements keep him current on changes in state law and on shifts in practice norms. He is a steady presence in the Massachusetts bar community and takes part in discussion forums and seminars when schedules allow.
He lives and practices in Massachusetts and, through his work at Pierce Atwood LLP, handles matters that arise under state law. His current practice centers on representing clients in Massachusetts matters at Pierce Atwood LLP.
